UnDiet Your Life began as a deeply personal journey for Beth, our mastermind and resident coach. After a successful 20-year career in the diet industry, Beth became disillusioned by its lack of compassion and transparency. Despite her own achievement of losing 7 stone in her early twenties, maintaining that weight came at a tremendous cost, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and a lifetime of disordered eating.
Beth’s struggles started early. As a teenager, her rapid weight gain was dismissed as hormonal, but years later, she realised it was directly tied to a six-year abusive relationship, a trauma she endured as an undiagnosed autistic ADHD young girl. These experiences laid the foundation for her lifelong challenges with weight, body image, self-worth and health.
In 2016, after being diagnosed with IBS, Beth began researching gut health and the gut-brain connection. This sparked a journey of self-discovery, leading to further diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, ADHD, and Autism. Her AuDHD way of processing information drove her to uncover science-backed insights into weight health, insights that she was shocked to find were largely absent from the diet industry she worked in.
The realisation that profits were often prioritised over member success confirmed her growing belief that the diet industry failed to truly serve people. With the removal of her thyroid in late 2024 during her perimenopausal years, Beth’s determination solidified: she would use her knowledge, coaching expertise and personal experiences to help others break free from diet culture.
